Hi, I’m Tanya Neff, the founder of Anchors & Ship.

Anchors & Ship started as a dream to one day own my own gift shop in a coastal city like I grew up in. I wanted to bring together everything I love about New England prep, coastal charm, and Boston sass. I’ve always had a soft spot for bright stripes, nautical anchors, and a good cheeky laugh — and I wanted to create a shop that feels like a mix of classic prep and playful fun.

The store name all began when I was with friends shopping and made the obvious comment of how, "I love Anchors and sh$t." It was followed with laughs because that's just how I talk and was extremely Boston of me. It perfectly captures who I really am behind the navy and white stripes and those flip-flops with anchors and sh*t. That's when one of my brilliant and witty squad members said, "You should call your shop, Anchors & Ship!" and I knew that some day that shop would set sail. Here we are!

Today, my shop offers a collection of preppy apparel, nautical accessories, home goods, and gifts — each one designed to bring a smile, spark a laugh, and celebrate life by the harbor (whether you’re in Boston, Cape Cod, or dreaming of the sea from afar).
